Workers Compensation 101. This one-day seminar will provide information on laws and rules of the Workers Compensation Act; rights and responsibilities; medical, income and death benefit eligibility requirements; the claims process; return to work; the dispute resolution process; and health, safety and prevention programs.

OSHA General Industry Safety Course. This two day (10-hour) safety certification course provides instruction on a variety of general industry safety and health standards to all company or organization entry-level employees and employees that are responsible for health/safety compliance in the workplace. Certification provided by OSHA.

Harassment, Violence & Security. Since 9/11, there is both heightened awareness of security concerns and an expectation of company accountability to control harassment and violence in the workplace. Do you have a plan in place to prevent workplace harassment that can lead to violence? Can you or your employees identify the early signs of violent behavior? Are you prepared to handle emergencies that might require evacuation or special containment? This workshop is designed to assist the small business in developing an approach to reduce the potential of workplace violence and to be ready for any emergency that could affect small businesses (fire, flood, etc.).

Location: The seminars will be held at the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce’s Center for Workforce Preparedness on 1359 Lomaland Drive (Lomaland and Pellicano).
